The detailed feasibility study / Report

Involves taking your products and comparing price / quality competitive surveys based upon current comparative products
that are / may be within the South African retail marketplace.

The outcome or deliverable would be by way of a detailed research report.

The report would provide detailed information to enable the manufacturer / supplier to make an informed decision,
whether investment within the South African Retail Market could be a viable export opportunity and eliminate the risks.

Marketing of your products within the South African Retail Market.

The costs to introduce a new product into a new market can be considerable. We at Retail-FMCG are able to offer very competitive marketing prices.
 
To successfully deliver the proposed marketing plan, example below, we charge a set monthly fee, which is available on request,
and payable in advance each month for the duration of the period.

The project would be split into 2 phases, phase 1, 6 months duration.

Phase 1

The initial exploration marketing phase. Involves our team contacting or visiting all of the major retail buyers located in Cape Town,
Johannesburg & Durban, presenting your product range along with pricing, and establishing listings based upon buyer approval.  
Deliverable :- Detailed report which would provide sufficient information to base a strategic decision to proceed to the next phase or stop the project.

Phase 2

Listings & potential Sales Orders. This phase would only commence if the decision to proceed was made at the end of phase 1 above.
Phase 2 can run in parallel with phase 1, depending on customer orders received early. 

Our profits and of course yours, the supplier will come out of the margins that we are able to build on top of the baseline price. 

Our commission is paid directly to us from your company, on payment by the customer.
The Chain group will pay you directly, and the contract will be with your company.  

Any trade shows would be separate and agreeable to both parties if and when required.

This option is based upon a commission only basis.

Note: This option No active marketing or reporting, Not recommended for new suppliers wishing to penetrate the South Africa Market.
We would take your product portfolio and up-to-date price lists and add to our existing product portfolio.
When potential sales / prospects materialise from the buyers of the leading retail chains here in South Africa,
we would offer your products and price lists to the relevant buyers.

Below is the process for this service, used to introduce a new product into the South African Retail Market.

  • Source product (s) from reputable supplier in Europe.

  • Research product portfolio catalogues via the internet.

  • Make contact with supplier and introduce our company and services that we offer.

  • Request export price list and container / pallet configuration.

  • Perform High Level Feasibility study to determine how the products would compete on price and quality within the South African retail market.

  • If the study results show potential good performance results, we would request a small set of samples for us to complete our evaluation.

  • Once the above exercise is complete, with good positive results, we would then add the products into our portfolio for presentation to our client base.

Buyer / Client process.

  • We make contact with all the relevant buyers who may be interested in the new products.

  • Based upon our feasibility study, we add our commission onto your export price list.
    The amount dependent on the price competitive study that we would perform. Normally between 10% - 5%.

  • Send product catalogues and pricing (includes our commission).

  • By request from the buyer / Client we would request samples to be sent directly to the retailer for evaluation
    All travelling, product presentations, sample deliveries etc, For manufacturer / suppliers expense.

 

On a successful completion of a sale and resulting order, the chain group will pay you directly, and the contract (Listings) will be with your company.

Retail-FMCG And Supplier contract based on a commission only.

Our commission is paid directly to us from your company, on payment by the customer.
